Wanting to continue breastfeeding, but also enjoy an adult beverage? Stop guessing, stop purchasing test strips, but rather gain confidence with our "How Much Can I Drink?" Calculator.

Why Use This Calculator?

Motherhood is a world full of do's and don'ts. You will often be told only the most extreme scenarios and not given enough information to make your own risk analysis.

This quiz takes into account your body weight, the amount of alcohol you consumed, and the percentage of the alcohol consumed presenting you with the closest possible result Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC). This will give you the concentration of alcohol in your milk.

What Information Will You Gain?

1. Appropriate BAC Levels

It is generally accepted that a BAC level of <0.02 is merely negligible and will not cause side effects in your infant. Targeting a BAC <0.02 will provide you confidence when consuming alcohol as a breastfeeding mother.

2. How Long to Wait if Your BAC is High

If your results suggest that you are >0.02, you will be given a time estimate to wait to feed your baby again. The concentration of alcohol in your breasts increases and decreases with your BAC.

3. Confidence.

With these results, there is no more guessing. You can consume an alcoholic beverage without fear interrupting your evening!
